Rainbow Moonstone

Rainbow Moonstone is associated with 'labradorescence', admired for its luminous, shifting flashes of blue, white and rainbow-like colour.  It is prized for its captivating internal flashes of blue, violet, yellow, green, and other spectral colours that appear to float and move within the stone as it is viewed from different angles. 

It can contain natural inclusions such as fine fractures, mineral inclusions, cloudy areas, and internal veils. These features can influence how light travels through the gemstone, and may contribute to the unique appearance of its flash. In fine specimens, the combination of transparency, concentrated colour, and internal light play can create a particularly dramatic visual effect.
