'The Stone of Wisdom, Truth, and Mental Clarity'

The word sapphire comes from the Latin word sapphirus, itself from the Greek word sappheiros. Sapphires are rich in history and symbolism — a gemstone celebrated for its captivating colour, remarkable brilliance, and enduring elegance. Best known for its iconic royal-blue hue, sapphires that come in colours other than blue are referred to as "fancy sapphires" and can be white, yellow, pink, purple, orange, green or even bi-colour as ""parti sapphires". Meanwhile, "star sapphire" displays a luminous star (asterism) that appears to move across its surface as the gemstone or light source turns.
